Construction of a Sports Centre on land owned by South Hams District Council, formerly Britannia Royal Naval College helicopter training site.

Kay Elliott Architects were commissioned to prepare a 'best value' design in accordance with standards laid down by Sport England.

The proposal created a 7.5m clear height 33 x 18m sports hall, large fitness suite, dance studio and sports field changing rooms. Resource space, offices, changing and disabled facilities are also provided.

The portal steel frame structure supports an aluminium profile roof deck.
Completion of the contract was on programme and within the budget.

This was the second major commission from South Hams District Council.
